STOCKHOLM: Battling cell telecom equipment maker Ericsson proposed Ronnie Leten, previous CEO at Atlas Copco, as its new chairman, it said on Monday.

“Mr Leten is a extremely competent businessman, technically savvy and strategically functional,” Johan Forssell, chairman of the Nomination Committee, said in a assertion.

Ericsson’s present-day chairman Leif Johansson, a previous CEO of truck-maker Volvo, said in July he was scheduling to step down ahead of the company’s annual assembly in 2018.
