Kuwait tells Aoun it supports Lebanese sovereignty


Kuwait’s ambassador to Lebanon explained to President Michel Aoun the Gulf monarchy supports his attempts to triumph over the “sensitive predicament” and stands by Lebanese sovereignty, Aoun mentioned in a tweet on Tuesday.

BEIRUT: Kuwait’s ambassador to Lebanon explained to President Michel Aoun the Gulf monarchy supports his attempts to triumph over the “sensitive predicament” and stands by Lebanese sovereignty, Aoun mentioned in a tweet on Tuesday.

Lebanon’s Saudi-allied Primary Minister Saad al-Hariri declared his resignation on Nov. 4 in a broadcast from Riyadh, throwing Lebanon into political crisis.

Saudi Arabia, an ally of Kuwait, has accused Lebanon of declaring war on it due to the fact of the affect of Iran-backed Hezbollah, and has encouraged Saudi citizens to depart Lebanon.
