MOSCOW: Former Russian economic system minister Alexei Ulyukayev, accused of getting a US$two million bribe from Rosneft main executive Igor Sechin, explained to a courtroom on Thursday he was the target of “a monstrous and cruel provocation.”

Russian prosecutors before this month sought a sentence of ten decades in jail for Ulyukayev, who denies the charges.

A Moscow courtroom is because of to supply a verdict in the scenario on Dec. 15.
